Does anybody actually like the webcomic Ctrl+Alt+Del?

I'm an avid Penny Arcade fan and I read somewhere that L.H. Franzibald was based on Tim Buckley who writes Ctrl+Alt+Del. So I checked it out and at the beginning (and I feel I may have been conditioned to not like this because I see PA and Yahtzee really dislike this comic, but i tried to keep an open mind) the characters would acknowledge that they were blatantly ripping off Penny Arcade, but the novelty wore off soon. The writing reminds me of comics I used to write when I was seven, that is to say not very well-structured, repetitive, and hardly professional. The art is terrible. I think the original Penny Arcade strips, their original models were better than the models at the beginning and present of CAD. With PA you see a steady progression from the very detailed art at the beginning to the more contoured expressive style they have now. With CAD he starts with this awful character design and over time he ads more shadows. This would be forgivable if the comic was funny. but I'm insulted that he thinks people like me would think it's funny. Apparently the main character's wife at some point has a miscarriage. WTF!? its like he's trolling his fans for liking his comic. so my question is, how does he make a living off his Godawful comic?..anyone care to weigh in
