How can I get a refund? I recenly bought a video game and don't know what to do.?

I purchased this game for specifications listed on the case that aren't actually available in the game. The company that makes the game acknowledged it is a typo and those features are not in the game. I tried to return the game, but the store where I purchased the game said copyright and federal laws have their hands tied and I must go to the manufacturer. The booklet that came with th game has a section saying the company does not issue refunds and that any attempt to get a refund my be done through the store where the product was purchased. Both the manufacturer and store stated the only option is to replace the game with an identical copy. I do not want this game since it doesn't have the things I bought it for. Am I not entitled to a refund? Who should be held accountable for giving the refund? If anyone knows, what are the laws applicable to this? Thank you very much.
