I have a few ?s on dying my hair black?

ok to start im a guy.. ok i have like strawberry blondish hair and i think im gingerish its got everything but black and i want to dye it black temporarily and see if i like it will this permanently taint my hair color and if i like it and permanently dye it will it ever go back too normal?
