Women during Industrial Revolution?

In the 18th and 19th centuries..the notion of "work" was done outside the home for money and presumably done outside by men. My question is what examples of the notion of work during this time have diminished the social value of women's traditional labor. Can someone please explain it also, since I need to do a project on women during the 18th and 19th centuries. Also I prefer these examples would come from Deborah Valenze's book "The 1st Industrial Women"..though it does not have to be...please help!!
